Reuse of Persimmons

This time, we would like to describe our commitment to persimmons, the main ingredient (persimmon tannin) of our deodorant material, PANCIL, and its main source.
The persimmons we mainly use are Atago persimmons from Ehime Prefecture.
The persimmons we use are carefully grown by the growers for food use, and any out-of-shape or under-ripe persimmons are picked.
Picking is the process of thinning out poorly grown or misshapen fruit in order to produce larger, more delicious fruit.
For this reason, we use persimmons that have been abandoned after picking for our PANCIL.
By using picked and abandoned persimmons, which would normally be disposed of at great expense, we have hoped to revitalize the persimmon-producing regions and prevent the deterioration of the farmland environment due to abandoned cultivation.
